About Dr. Zulieka Furaha-Ali Ed.D
My name is Dr. Zulieka Furaha-Ali Ed.D. I was born and raised in and near Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. I am a daughter, sister, aunt, niece, and mother! I have 6 brothers and no sisters. I have two children, a daughter and a son, and a cat named Sasha! My hobbies are music, sneakers, fashion, and traveling!
I have been in education for 16 years. I have held many roles including Pre-K teacher, 2nd grade teacher, 3rd grade teacher, 4th grade teacher, 5th grade teacher, and ELA Instructional Coach. I obtained my undergraduate degree from Chestnut Hill College in Germantown, Philadelphia in 2007. I then decided to get my masters in Elementary Curriculum and Instruction from American Public University in 2015. I then got my doctorate degree in Reading and Literacy from Capella University in 2021. With all of my years and experience, I decided that I want to help out elementary teachers and educators to perfect their craft and broaden their knowledge of ELA!
